Meet the Lunch Punch Team - Kowen
Say hi to Kowen! Kowen’s real name is Kirsty, but with one Kirsty already in the office it was decided that was too confusing, and we created a nickname that has stuck! Kowen is our clever creative who makes all the Lunch Punch products and food look so incredible. Let’s get to know her some more….
Meet Kowen (aka Kirsty)
What do you do at The Lunch Punch?
Content production, photography and design. I spend my days making things pretty - how lucky am I?
What does your morning routine look like?
Pretty hectic, my partner starts work in the early hours of the morning so it's me chasing our 2 year old around trying to get ready and out the door in time!
What was your least favourite food as a child? Do you still hate it or do you love it now?
I never liked cooked fruit as a child. I have to say I'm pretty fond of a nice hot apple pie these days although only if it's nice and smooth and not chunky - still picky when it comes to hot fruit 😂
If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life what would it be?
I love a home style roast chicken or anything with potatoes, cooked any way. I just can't resist anything made with potatoes!
What would your superpower be and why?
Definitely super speed - I want to do all the things!!!! There just aren't enough hours in the day...
What is your favourite magical or mythological animal?
Fairies! I always wished I would find one in my garden.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
For a long time I wanted to be a teacher or anything that involved working with animals. I would still love to work with animals someday!
Who is your favourite Disney hero or heroine?
Ariel from The Little Mermaid because I just love swimming and the ocean. I wish I could breathe underwater and talk to ocean friends!
What fictional family would you be a member of?
That 70's Show, maybe because it reminds me of my parents with their cool hair in their younger days! We are a pretty chilled bunch.
What’s your favourite sandwich and why?
Fresh home-made chicken and salad sandwiches. When I was a kid, my Mum always laid out a beautiful lunch spread to build our own yummy creations. She always had ALL the things; fresh bread, gherkins, cheese, pickled onions, yummy dressings, cheeses, salads......must be where my love of condiments comes from! Uber Eats costs me like, $455 for all the extras!
What’s your favourite family tradition?
We're not much of a “tradition” family but decorating the Christmas tree together has always been a favourite family moment for me.
What was your favourite game to play as a child?
I always loved good old fashioned board games like Monopoly and Scategories. Luckily no one in my household was super competitive so we had lots of fun!
