What do you do at The Lunch Punch?
I am the owner of Lunch Punch - and once upon a time I was everything (admin, sales, packing orders etc.). Now I work mostly in Marketing and Design and have a brilliant team to do the other bits.
What does your morning routine look like?
I start most days with some kind of exercise - which is a must for my mental health! Then it's back home and getting my two boys (Hux 7, Sulli 5) ready for school before heading out the door to work. We often eat dinner apart due to after school sports, work etc, so we make a real effort to eat breakfast as a family - and that's when we usually do homework, reading etc. too!
What was your least favourite food as a child? Do you still hate it or do you love it now?
Cheese. It's still one of my favourites now - although my tummy doesn't always agree with it! My dad told me one time I even asked for a "toasted cheese sandwich, without the bread" for lunch - so basically a big old bowl of melted cheese. He said yes too! (aren't Dad’s fun lol).
If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life what would it be?
Oh this is hard! Probably something really boring like poached eggs and avocado on toast. I eat it for breakfast most days and just never get sick of it!
What would your superpower be and why?
Definitely not being able to fly because I'm terrified of heights! I guess maybe being invisible? I'm almost 6ft tall - so it's pretty hard to blend in or get lost in a crowd - and that seems kind of fun.
What is your favourite magical or mythological animal?
We have a very dinosaur obsessed household - both of my kids love anything dinosaur-related, particularly my eldest Hux who is always teaching me new fun facts. I think he would be upset if I didn't say the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a lawyer! I worked so hard at school to get into a law course at university and then worked out pretty quickly that it wasn't for me. I ended up dropping out, working and travelling for a few years, working out I actually wanted to do IT - and going back to uni at 25. Got there in the end!
Who is your favourite Disney hero or heroine?
As a kid I absolutely loved The Little Mermaid - so I would have to say Ariel.
What fictional family would you be a member of?
Oh it’s GOT to be the Jetsons - having robots to do all the household chores sounds like a dream come true!
What’s your favourite sandwich and why?
Pretty boring, but cheese and tomato toastie ALWAYS.
What’s your favourite family tradition?
Christmas is huge in our family. My absolute favourite part is going to the outdoor Christmas Carols and having a good old sing-a-long with a big group of friends and family. We pack lots of snacks and make a night of it!
What was your favourite game to play as a child?
Santa brought my brother and I a Sega MegaDrive (showing my age here) one year and we played Sonic the Hedgehog day and night for months!
